צָבַע

צָבַעII (cmp. טָבַע I) to dip; to dye. Orl. III, 1 בגד שצְבָעוֹוכ׳ a garment which one dyed with shells of fruits forbidden as ‘Orlah (v. עָרְלָה). Sabb.VII, 2 והצוֹבְעוֹ and he who dyes it (the wool). Ib. 75a, sq., a. fr.
